It’s Monday, so that means I spent my lunch hour walking around Watercress. I found a few new blooms including American Bladdernut (Staphylea trifolia,)

A few minutes spent wandering about the yard turned up a freshly bloomed Flowering Dogwood (Cornus florida,)
a “puddling” female Eastern Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio glaucus,)
a male Common Baskettail (Epitheca cynosura) – a new record for me at this property –
and a predatory fly (robber fly probably, but can’t really tell) with it’s lunch.
