To get to Welch Spring, you have to park at the canoe landing and walk about a quarter mile upstream. For the first couple of hundred yards, the trail lies right above the Current River, with a steep bank to your right which runs up to a bluff. The entire bank above the trail, right [...] I had to work at one of our Alley Spring offices today and instead of driving to Eminence for lunch, I walked the spring trail. There was a group of folks ahead of me that took the trail around the back of the spring, so I went across the bridge below the mill and [...] The weatherman was right about the rain, if not the thunder, but it held off long enough that I was able to get out and make another attempt to find a Harbinger-of-Spring. The other locations I wanted to check were in the Rogers Creek-Waymeyer-Pin Oak area and my mother lives out in that direction, [...] Even as an IT person, I do occasionally get to leave my office thanks to the fact that most of our various field offices have computers and phone systems.
